Hey, I’m Using IE 7

http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/944/ie2sy.jpg

It has been a long time since I used Internet Explorer as my everyday browser. I changed my boat to firefox mainly because of its tabbed browsing and awesome collections of extensions. Now, with 7th edition of Internet Explorer, Windows is calling me back with a lot of cool features in this newly-released browser.
Improved Interface:

IE7 has improved its interface by giving more what you need and less of what you don’t. You will find much more roominess in this version plus the coolness of clutterless workspace. One thing that annoys me is the single ‘back’ button. IE7 lacks of the option to select how many steps we want to go back the browser.

Tabbed Browsing:

‘We heard you’. That’s what they say in the Features page in Windows.com. And I say, you are way too late. Tabbed browsing is the one of the big improvement in browser capabilities and it is only now Microsoft features it in IE. There is nothing to comment except it has a neat Quick Tabs button where you can preview all the tabs that you have opened (cool huh?):

Improved Printing Features:

Do you remember when you hit the button print and what came out from your printer were pages with unproperly aligned text? Fear it no more. Microsoft has integrated more dependable print features that automatically shrink text for optimized printing result. I haven’t test this features so I have nothing to say here.

RSS Feeder:

Subscribe to RSS feeds through Internet Explorer 7, and get instant access to personalized sports, news, and shopping feeds that keep you up to date on the latest information online.

Search Bar:

IE7 has a integrated search bar ( like in Firefox next to address bar) but you have to add google as search provider manually (default is MSN live).

My other comments:

There is a lot of improvement in this version. Some other small features that I like and don’t:

+ There is an option when you are closing IE7 to have the tabs that your are going to close to be opened next time you used IE7.

- You cannot put javascript in the toolbar

- The favourite folder will be collapsed when you expand another folder. I have to expand each and every folders if I forget where the link’s belong.
You can download the latest released (IE7 Beta 3) from Microsoft Websites but you have to have your Windows validated before you can download. I will update with more links to download later.

I’m currently using Opera 9 and it is totally awesome. More or less has the same functions as firefox has, but it is slightly better + some cool tip-top features. You can get it for free through their very own website Opera.Com. Try before you criticize, hahaha…

Best regards, Bugger the legend =p.

Opera has many built-in functions that are really cool. Firefox also have almost all the functions, but you have to search for its extensions. This is a bit of a hussle for some, but it gives much more flexibility for you to choose only the ones you want. Also, I prefer to use Outlook for e-mail, Newz Crawler for RSS, uTorrent and so on rather than via Opera. I think Opera has lost sense of what a web browser means – Opera is almost like an operating system within an operating system. Anyway, I think both Opera and Firefox are superb… as long as it’s not MIRCROSOFT!

    Hu ha ha

I never use Opera in this 3-4 years so i dont know what do Opera offer to its users. I don’t mind using microsoft software afterall, as long as it has just the features that i like and better than other softwares. haha

Don’t know how , but after installing the lattest IE7 I’ve got some stability issues. Not very stable and sometimes reaaly slow..used Opera a long time ago and not a fan of it. but with all the excitements which has been going, maybe I’ll take some time to check it out.
