Mudah.com.my is pushing hard to be recognized as the leader in Malaysian online marketplace. Their ads can be seen everywhere, both in local and foreign sites. If you have Advertlets ads on your site, like I do, I bet there is Mudah’s ads most of the time (if not all the time). Their aggressive advertising strategy reminds me of our local beverage brand name, Ali Cafe. Both has been successfully made their way to the top.
In above graph, it’s clear that Mudah is more popular than Lelong, and steadily growing with enough momentum to overtake Lowyat.net anytime soon. Mudah’s advertising program is doing a great job. I wonder how much they’ve been spending on it.
One thing is missing here. Mudah doesn’t have any advertisement on its site, not even one thing of money making element. At least not yet. I’m still not sure what’s Mudah plan, but I’m sure, with such traffic and brand name, you can easily get what you want. Be it paid listing, or full page of advertising. We shall wait for it.

mudah.com is easy and good way of doing business. nevertheless please becareful since like few other, I’ve been cheated of RM310 by one,Michael @ 014-9339 366 for puchase of a portable DVD player. The actual name of Michael is Choong Chan Wah. CIMB bank account 1406-0547427-529.
Modus operandi:
1. giving great discount and so friendly
2. not free,ask where we stay,for fast
delivery suggest pos laju.
3. so concern checking delivery,phone hang
after 2 days.no news absconded.

Im not surprised if they doing good in alexa, they’ve done (and still pushing) any possible way to push their brand to mass audiences. Perhaps, we should look in wider view. How long it ll be last? Does the advertisement is the only concern of being a top player?

Mudah is not as what we are talking about….
i found that Mudah is unfare, their rules noted that :-
“Ads that are inserted by companies, or multiple ads by individuals for
commercial purposes are not permitted on Mudah.my except in the following
categories: Properties, Vehicles, Jobs, Services and B2B. To create a fair
marketplace, other categories are currently restricted to individuals. If you
have questions or comments regarding the refused ad, please forward a copy of
this email along with your comments to advertising@mudah.my”
but why they refused my ad when i want to sell my Computer?
and i found that one person come out with more than one item for sell, isnt that try to make money.
i already make not one but many complaints to mudah, but seems like they didnt take action at all, this is why im saying that they are unfare, are they trying to make own money by release some of the ad?

company mana owner mudah.com.my ni. aku punya ad kena reject kononnya commercial. apa takrifan commercial in nature .. dia sendiri pun tak tahu nak jawab. aku iklan hotspot prepaid yang aku develop sendiri. ingat nak tolong orang susah mula perniagaan hotspot kat rumah, kedai,warung. itu pun dia reject.
apa yang mudahnya macam racist ja mudah.com.my. puak mudah.com.my ni memang pilih bulu bukan nak memudahkan.

I think MUDAH is collecting “assets” i.e. email addresses of the people that advertise there. A huge mailing list will definitely give a huge potential for email marketing.
The website is not that user friendly though. But I have got friends who said they found things they want to buy there!
